Washington Stories is a multi-million dollars project produced by GSM Design for the Historical Society of Washington DC Museum. The project included multimedia elements such as video, animation, holographics, and live actors and actresses.

Expert from the Press Release: Using high-definition, theatrical sets and animation, the multimedia show Washington Stories integrates historical and contemporary people and events. The sweep of history is there, from L’Enfant’s “grande veezion” to burgeoning suburbanization and voting rights. There’s fun, mystery and pathos. “It’s not quite a movie and not quite a play,” Abraham Genauer wrote in an article in The Hill, “but rather something completely different than any presentation you’ll see at another museum.”

My involvement in this project was as an assistant digital animator, working closely to the digital media master Normand Gauthier, Animator (and my professor at University) Stefan Anastasiu and the great animation and mixed media director Robert Awad.

The following clips are just experts of the complete show, unfortunitally the show does not run anymore, and there is no video capture of the whole stage, which would of been incredible to see, however, by following each clip at a time, you can imagine how great and innovative this project was.

I hope you enjoy it!
